ROY ORIHUELA's Obituary
Miami, Florida - Roy Orihuela, 92, died Friday, May 13, at Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami after a brief illness. He leaves his son, Lawrence Orihuela and his daughter, Maralee Orihuela; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, and many many close friends.
He was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, the son of Abelardo and Josefa Orihuela and he was a resident of Miami his entire adult life.
He was a veteran of WWII as a member of the U.S. Army. After serving with the Army, Mr. Orihuela had the opportunity to fly for Pan American Airlines in Miami, where he met and married his loving wife Betty Sue Lewis. He was very active until his death, including being an avid golfer and bowler.
Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, but more than this he was a very special and gentle man. He had a passion for life and compassion for all that he passed on his life journey.
The family is asking, in lieu of flowers, that a donation in his name be made to the American Heart Association.
