Robert Laurence Farrell's Obituary
Robert Laurence Farrell, also known as Bob, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023, at the age of 91 years old, at his home in Miami, FL. He was born on February 6, 1932, in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies. Bob was a knowledgeable, kind, generous, funny, athletic, creative, hardworking, and a proud individual.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Freida Araujo and Mary Morris, daughter Suzanne Farrell-Pestana, granddaughter Danielle Pestana, son-in-law Mark Pestana, his ex spouse Lucille Farrell ( Paris Persaud) and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families, too numerous to mention. He was preceded in death by his siblings Sybil P, Percy 'Bertie' F, and Joan F.
Robert attended Queens Royal College for both high school and higher education. Throughout his career, he worked as a life insurance agent, real estate contractor and builder.
Robert worshipped at both the Woodbrook Presbyterian Church in Port of Spain and the Central Presbyterian Church in South West Kendall, Miami. In his younger years, Bob was an avid boater, sailor, and soccer player. In his later years, when he couldn't actively play, he enjoyed watching premier league soccer. Bob had a green thumb and took pleasure in gardening. He also played the guitar and was a member of the church choir. Additionally, he was a brother of the Wookbrook Lodge in Port of Spain.
Details regarding Robert's (Bob) ceremony will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any Diabetes Research Institute or Cancer Research Center.
Bob Farrell will be remembered for his knowledge, kindness, generosity, humor, athleticism, creativity, hard work, and pride. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
