I did not know Robert well but for me it does not matter as his blood runs in my veins. For his passing I am truly saddened as a generation of Farrells is closing. He will always mean alot to me as he comes from the magnificent 7 as do I and all of my cousins.

I first met Robert when I joined Crown Life Insurance Company of Canada at their Trinidad Branch in May of 1975. We built a friendship and a bond which has lasted over the years. Robert was not only a good friend, but sometimes he was like a big brother to me. He was a man of impeccable character It was Robert who built my house in Melanie Gardens Couva, and when I migrated in 1987, he looked after it until it was time to get rid of it. Robert was a forthright and extremely honest. He would not tell you what you wanted to hear, but always what in judgement was in your best interest. I would chat with him regularly from New York until a few months ago when I was not hearing from him, I knew something was wrong. My friend you have fought a good fight, and your work on earth is over. I can say without reservation that you have left the world a better place than you found it. To Suzanne I know that his passing has left a void, but I know that he has left many wonderful memories for you to treasure. Be proud of the job that you have done caring for him in his later days. Rest In Peace my dear friend. The world has lost a true giant.

Our family relationship has been forged through the friendship of our parents for most of their adult lives and then with the marriage of my brother Mark and Uncle Bob’s daughter Suzanne.
