Rachael Angela Grant's Obituary
Born on October 15, 1952, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Rachael Grant lived a life defined by style and a sharp sense of humor. She was educated at Immaculate Conception and Servite Convent schools in Jamaica and later pursued university studies in Madrid, Spain, experiences that shaped her love of art, culture, and lively conversation.
She had a keen eye and strong opinions. Painting was one of her creative outlets, and she took great pleasure in shaping her home into a space that was distinctly her own, expressive and full of color and life.
Music was a constant companion, and she loved to dance, especially to reggae, which never failed to bring her to her feet. She was witty, unapologetically sassy, and known for a laugh that could fill a room. She didn’t fade into the background. She was the party.
After settling in Miami, Florida, she worked with the Beacon Council and VITAS Healthcare, bringing energy, intelligence, and a no-nonsense approach to her professional life. She was respected for her competence and remembered for her personality.
She is survived by her son, Kristian; her daughter-in-law, Cynthia; her sister, Jacqueline; her niece, Dominique; and her nephew, Jonny, who will remember her for her spirit, her humor, and her unmistakable presence.
Rachael passed away in Miami, Florida December 27th 2025. She lived on her own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
