Pearl Daye: You were my rock, my truth, my dear friend, my other Mom, you scolded me when I needed it (even as an adult), you loved me unconditionally, you always made me feel good about myself and pushed me when I didn't have it in me try harder. You were the Sister my Mom never had. You and Mom had the good cop bad cop routine down pat!:) You were a large influence on my wonderful childhood as well as the other neighborhood kids. You made me wear a sweater even when I was not cold - but YOU were:) You were another grandparent to my son. You taught me that no one can ever have too big of a family and too much love. You taught me to stand up for myself, forgiveness, individual respect, you could look at me and I knew what you were saying without saying a word. You made me listen when I didn't want to and listen I did. You listened to me with always an open heart. You told me things I did not want to hear but needed to hear. We had the most wonderful fun trips, lunches, dinners, cocktail hours and more laughs than one can possibly keep track of.
I've never experienced a loss like this....there will never be another Pearl Daye. When I think of all the lives you have touched it's overwhelming. You were the most positive, influencing individual and we will all be so richly blessed forever for having you in our lives.
You and your wisdom will live in my heart forever.
Always,
Your Jan
