I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my St. Thomas University doctoral colleague, Dr. Alaimo. We worked together on a course project with another colleague, and I remember him as humble, respectful, and committed to excellence in every assignment. His professionalism, thoughtful insights, and steady presence made a lasting impression during our doctoral journey.
Sleep in peace, my friend. I light this candle in honor of the many memories of your wisdom, the way you enriched our discussions during our coursework, and the warmth of your friendly smile. The blue candle symbolizes peace and reflection, and the white flower represents honor and a gentle farewell, offered in appreciation for the wisdom you shared and the calm strength you carried.
Your memory will remain a blessing.

My deepest condolences to Nicolo’s family, it was shocking to learn about his departure.
I had the honor of having Nicolo as my manager circa 1998 at Hewlett-Packard Latin America. Above being a solid executive, he was a great human being with deep family roots, a shining personality, gentle, and good sense of humor.
I clearly recall traveling together to Boston a couple of days before Thanksgiving, he was really worried not being able to return home on time to celebrate with his loved wife and children. We made it!
From a business trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil, I vividly recall having lunch with other teammates. Nicolo was dissatisfied with the bread offered at the restaurant. With the authority of being raised in a family on the baking business, he explained to the group why the bread was far from being the best. He was very proud of his early years helping in the family business, and of his Italian-Venezuelan roots.
He will be missed. Rest in peace.
Dear Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Nicolo. After more than 50 years of friendship, his absence leaves a profound void in my life and in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Nicolo was an extraordinary human being, a loyal friend, and a person full of values, whose legacy will always remain in my heart. We shared countless moments, laughter, and experiences that I will forever cherish with gratitude.
In the midst of this sorrow, I hope you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the beautiful memories that Nicolo leaves behind. His memory will live on in all of us.
With heartfelt sympathy and solidarity,
Juan Fernández

querido Nicolo,
Excellent professor and person. May God have him in His holy glory.
