Our family was blessed to have Maggie be a part of it for many years. She loved my Dad and from the way she was with the rest of us, we felt loved too. One thing about Maggie is that she paid attention to little things that were important to others. This reminds me of one of my favorite memories of her. It was getting close to my birthday and Maggie and I were talking. We were having a conversation about my Mom and she was commenting on how my Mom probably made a big fuss over birthdays. I said she did and my favorite thing was how she used to make homemade birthday cakes for everyone. I told Maggie that I knew it was silly but that homemade cake was one of the many things I really missed since she passed away. Weeks went by and I forgot about the conversation, but Maggie didn't. When we got together at Dads house to celebrate and it was time to sing - Maggie brought out a homemade birthday cake. I cried and no one understood why.....but Maggie did. She remembered. I love you Maggie and I miss you. Be at peace.
