LYNN ELLEN PEARSON WILSON's Obituary
Lynn Ellen (Pearson) Wilson, 53 passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014. Lynn resided in Kendall, and was previously a long time resident of Key Biscayne. She had been a 35 year cancer survivor and overcame much adversity during her life. Though Lynn was not expected to survive her 19th birthday, she graduated from Florida State University, enjoyed travel and spending time with family, and married and had two children. Lynn was known for her artistic and creative abilities, and despite the challenges she faced from her numerous brain surgeries, with the help and support of her loving mother she operated her own thriving floral business on Key Biscayne for many years.
Lynn’s greatest joy in life was being a mom, and God blessed her with two wonderful children whom she loved and treasured with all of her heart. Lynn was survived by her two children, Paige Elaine Wilson (19) and Zachary Curtis Wilson (15); her father, Thomas C. Pearson; brothers, William M. Pearson (Leslie) and Thomas C. Pearson II; aunts and uncles, Sally Brody (Cliff), Suzie Falci (Jerry) and Nancy Pearson; nephews, William T. Pearson, Nicholas S. Pearson and Alec M. Pearson; and many cousins. Lynn was preceded in death by her mother Shirley L. Pearson, and her uncle Richard M. Pearson.
Lynn will be affectionately remembered for her amazing strength, courage and perseverance, and the outgoing and positive attitude that she always had.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, August 3rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 pm at Van Orsdel Funeral Home – Kendall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
