ORTIZ
Jeffrey James Ortiz, long time resident of Kendall, former Vice President of Orso Superior Enterprises in Key Biscayne and MBA Graduate of the University of Miami passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He was a passionate coach to his son’s hockey and baseball teams and a loving father to his two children Jessica and Christian. He spent many years as volunteer for Coconut Grove Elementary School. Along with his children, he is survived by his parents James and Carmen Ortiz of Key Biscayne, his sisters Denise Powers and Judy Ortiz. He is further survived by niece, nephews, many relatives and friends. Jeff will be remembered always as a loving father, son, brother and uncle. He will be sorely missed by those who loved and knew him. Funeral Service 10 am (today) Friday, February 26, 2010 at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL, followed by interment at Woodlawn Park Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will also be held 10 am Saturday February 27, 2010 at St. Richards Catholic Church, 7500 S.W. 152 St. Miami, FL 33157. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the University of Miami Transplant Institute, 1801 NW 9th Ave 3rd Floor, Miami, FL 33136.
