Henry Clinton Davis passed away at home in Coral Gables, FL. October 9, of cardiac disease. He was born July 4th, 1921, in Milwaukee, WI. Tower Hill School, Wilmington, DE; Brown University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, MD MS Surgical Training University of Pennsylvania Graduate Hospital; Medical Board of Surgery, American College of Surgeons, America Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Secretary Dade County Medical Association, Captain U.S. Army, Chief of General Surgery at Camp Gordon, Augusta, GA, Korean War; Volunteer faculty- University of Miami School of Medicine; Chief of Surgery Miami Children's Hospital; 32 publications, Staff member- Jackson Memorial Hospital, Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, Victoria Hospital, Chief of Surgery Doctor's Hospital. Member of Coral Reef Yacht Club, Commodore Biscayne Bay Yacht Club, Bath Club, Riviera Country Club, Mayflower Society, Upham Family Society, Miami Watercolor Society, Delta Upsilon, AMPO Medical Fraternity, William Pepper Medical Society. Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Carl Henry Davis; siblings H. Carl Upham Davis (sister-in-law Jean Ellen D. Shehan), John Upham Davis, Mary Davis Buerki (brother-in-law Robin Buerki, Jr.) and sister-in law Alison Rowntree Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Rowntree Davis, 5 children, Reid (Jan) Davis, Lieschen (Herman) Gunter, Carlen (Phil) Blevins, Casey (Brian) McGee, and Clay Upham Davis; 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren; niece, Susan Wallace, and nephew, Robin Buerki III. Cousins, Mary Hughes Preyer, Amy Hughes Blitzer, James Hughes and Tom Hughes. A private family service will be held at a later date.
