I am proud to say that I knew Tom Roebling, I know how much he will be missed...leaving a deafening silence that only hearts can feel....(although, I fear that GOD will have quite the noise makers with He and my Dad giving their renditions of Robert Service poems). I hope that you know how much we loved him...and always will.

I was just told of your fathers passing. Please know that you all will be in my prayers. I have lost both my father and younger brother and as I grow older in this crazy world there is a part of me that although the loss is great and never forgotten there is also a part that looks forward to us all being together again some day. Tom was truly a man among men. You always knew where you stood with Tom, whether you liked it or not, that was a true value that Tom had, as well as many others. My family had the pleasure of being guest's on numerous occations and I personnaly enjoyed the times with Tom in the morning and afternoons talking about the issues of the world, and correcting them all! Tom was a true "old salt" and taught me many things surrounding the world he loved so much, birds, fishing, sailing, bait-rigging. He never could get me intrested in golf but said he would have sympathy for me and then merely chuckled.
I will miss my occational call to him and will most likely never be referred to again as "starvin marvin" LOL.
Tom laoved his family with all of the passion one could have.
Tom, again you will be missed, but you will be the captain of a nbew ship, and I'm sure you will get them in "ship shape" order quickly!
