Edward Otho Ellison's Obituary
Otho passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, after a long illness. He was 71 years
old. Otho is survived by his wife of 40 years, Denise; his younger brother, Roger;
cousins; nephews; nieces; and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and
May, and his youngest brother, Kenny. Otho graduated from Miami Central High School
in 1971. He worked his entire life at his father's business, Four Star Poultry and
Provisions, in Miami, FL, as his two brothers did. Otho and his brothers inherited Four
Star when their father died in 1995. He retired in 2009 after suffering a major stroke.
Otho loved football, especially his Miami Dolphins, as well as The Beatles, hunting, and
history. We will miss him but take comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain and can
finally rest in peace. Otho was a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami, Florida. He
was a member of the American Legion Post 31-SAL and the Everglades Conservation
Club.
Following Otho's wishes, there will be no services. He wanted his ashes to be spread at his
brother Roger's hunting property in Cross City, Florida.
