Deena Mullininx's Obituary
Deena Margret Gamber Mullininx, 71 years old, passed on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Deena's Husband George (Beau) Stanley McCall of Miami also suddenly passed away. Deena was the daughter of the late Jane Margret Gamber and Robert Clyde Gamber, both of Miami. Deena graduated from Miami Senior High school in 1968 and then went on to a long career in the Miami-Dade Government. Deena retired after 34 years of service in 2009.
Deena was born in Miami in 1950. Deena's siblings include Daniel Gamber, the late Joanna Gamber Kirkland, and stepbrother Robert Hann.
Deena was preceded in death by her sister, Joanna Gamber Kirkland, and brother in law Lawrence Kirkland, and John Robert Gamber, infant brother.
Deena and Beau enjoyed their retirement traveling across the U.S. and Europe researching genealogy. They were part-time residents of Cornelia, GA and enjoyed spending time with nieces, great-nieces, and nephews.
Deena and Beau were regarded as parents to Kimberly and Kerri after the passing of their parents. Also, were regarded as grandparents to Christopher, Nicholas, and Brooke.
Deena is survived by brother, Daniel Gamber and wife Nancy, of Washington DC stepbrother Robert Hann and Wife Sharon, of Rochester, NY nieces: Kimberly Kirkland Nix and husband James Nix of Blairsville, GA Kerri Kirkland Jones and husband Scott Jones of Gainesville, GA Grand-nephew Christopher Smith and wife Alissa along with great-grandnephew Dawson Rhett Smith of Cleveland, GA Grand-nephew Nicholas Smith of Lula, GA and grand-niece Joanna Brooke Lovell of Blairsville, GA.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
