Deena, Ivonne and I worked on the Zoning Code Re-Write from 2000 to 2008 for the Miami-Dade County Planning Department. Deena was the ideal civil servant--carrying out difficult assignments with a minimum of direction, often self-directed.. Her work was correct and precise. God will welcome Deena. Sad to hear of Deena's passing. I just met her when I joined the County and got to know her for a short time before she retired. She worked with my father, Joseph McManus on the Zoning code re-write for the County and everyone said she was very meticulous and detailed. Deena – a woman full of history and knowledge, family tree lover, she worked with me on the Zoning Code-Write Project in Miami-Dade County, under the supervision of Joseph McManus. Retired from Miami-Dade County after 34 years of service in 2009.
