Deborah Lee Blanco's Obituary
Debbie Blanco passed on from this world on February 23, 2024 after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born on June 6, 1966 (a lifelong source of commentary) in Cincinnati, OH to Maria Cornell and George Cornell. The youngest daughter of 6 children, she learned quickly how to stay out of trouble in life. After graduating high school and attending some college, she worked in banking before starting what would become a 28 year-long career in the compliance department at Assurant, Inc.
She met Robert, the love of her life, while waiting tables at a local family restaurant called Neighbor’s when she was 18 years old. To this day he will tell anyone how out of his league she was. To this day she would probably agree. Together they traveled to places many only dream about. They built a home with their two children and a herd of bull mastiffs. Debbie spent her life loving and advocating for her kids, fighting for what was right and sharing what she had with those who needed it. She was also incredibly passionate about ensuring that every opportunity in life was afforded to her daughter on the autism spectrum. She loved the life she had, however short or long it would be. She was a warm, beautiful, smart, and understanding person. She also wasn’t someone whose line you’d want to cross. Her masterclass in calling people out on their BS was hailed as the most unrivaled of rhetorics.
You’d be hard pressed to find someone less deserving of the fight she had to endure to be with the people she loved. She will be missed beyond measure by both those that knew her best and those she met in passing.
A memorial service will be held for Debbie at 12:30PM on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at Saint Louis Catholic Church 7270 SW 120th St, Pinecrest, FL 33156.
