Aunt Carolyn will always be remembered for her peaceful spirit and he loving nature. Some years ago we made a trip to Florida to visit family. One of the items on our bucket list was to go fishing. On a cloudy day my 7 months pregnant wife, Uncle Bill and I set out on the rough ocean. Aunt Carolyn just looked at us and said "Oh my goodness!" in her wonderful Carolina draw but she did not voice any doubt of our crazy plans. She may have thought we were crazy to go out on rough seas but all she could say was "Oh my!". We returned seasick and tired with our catch of the day. At that point, some doubt or criticism would have been justified but all I can remember is Aunt Carolyn thanking us for the fish and smiling brightly and saying "Oh my goodness!"
I can't remember a harsh word or a critical remark ever coming from Aunt Carolyn.
She will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
