Betty was such an integral part of our jazzercise class at South Miami Recreation Center. She was awesome. Always giving advice on how to do the movements correctly, and an amazingly, gentle and kind woman who managed our class.
She was an inspiration to all of us, and we loved working out with her. I am so sorry to see her pass so prematurely. She was full of energy - and getting her second wind.

My name is Natalee Jenks. I have been in charge of the Christmas gift drive at St. Thomas Church for many years. Betty was a major part of the outreach project. Every year, she would take a large number of names and buy lovely gifts for some very needy children. Her generosity and loving heart made a difference in this world.
Betty was one of our most popular and really NICE classmates all through my years at Coral Gables High. She ran all our reunions flawlessly and made all of them so much fun. She later became a dear friend of my niece, Linda Richard, through jazzersize. Although I moved from Miami, Linda kept me informed how Betty and Ab were doing and I saw them occasionally. My heart goes out to her family and many friends. May your memories sustain you of a truly wonderful person.
Robert and Jenny our hearts were broken when we heard the news of your mother's awful tragedy. We traveled all over this country with your mother in our motor homes to football games, college World Series and other things of interest however no matter where we were or what was going on the Golden Retrievers had to be feed at 6 pm.
She always kept us updated on Jordan and Ava. She loved taking Jordan to the UM football games and camping trips. She showed everyone the pictures of her and Ava

She was taken away from you, her family and her friends but no one can take away our memories and love we had for her.

I was Jenny and Roberts teenage babysitter from the neighborhood of Village of Kendall. My name is Sylvia an I remember reading each of you a story while you went to too sleep. Mom always left cookies and milk for you and told me you both had to brush your teeth afterwards. How blessed to have had A MOM LIKE BETTY. So sorry words cannot describe. I can still see her beautiful blue eyes and enchanting smile. She was always kind to me and I loved her too. I babysat for you babies for almost two years and for Christmas every year she would give me a beautiful calendar for me to note the days she needed me. Heaven has gained another Angel but we sure going to miss her here on earth. Love to you Jenny and Bobby and take comfort she will always be inside your hearts taking good care of you as always.
In 2005 I worked with Betty on the Gables H. S. reunion. My task was to locate our 486 classmates. Tom Chivers and I made a trip to Florida prior to the reunion and stopped at Betty's home to gather additional clues for locating classmates. The meeting was very productive except when interrupted by those "large dogs" which Betty seemed to love.
