ALISAN F. STRONG's Obituary
For more than 86 years Alisan Strong graced this earth with her kindness, generosity, sense of humor and abounding love. She has now joined her husband Royal, brothers, daughter and countless friends in God’s kingdom. Alisan lived an amazingly colorful life given her quiet, unassuming demeanor. She was a showgirl at the Copa Cabana in New York, Ms. Philco Jackpot in Las Vegas and traveled the world as a flight attendant for National Airlines. Her children and grandchildren loved to hear stories about meeting famous people and life in NY.
Always someone to help anyone in need she also generously gave of her time for more than 20+ years as a Patron of the Museum of Science where she developed many lifelong friendships.
Alisan was married to R.V. Strong for more than 40 years before he passed in 2005. She is survived by her children and stepchildren, Royal V. Strong, Jr., Cheryl Cunningham, Richard Martin, and Suzanne Perkins. She was blessed to have seven grandchildren. Alisan was also very close to her sister Lois Gee and her sister‐in‐laws, Kathy Reed, Gloria Reed and Joan Strong.
She will be missed but her presence, advice and her instructions on a life well led will be with us always. We will gather with family and friends to celebrate Alisan’s life on Saturday, September 5th from 10‐12 at Van Orsdel 11220 N. Kendall Dr. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Alisan’s name to Autism Speaks www.autismspeaks.org
