Last year Alisan told me one of her favorite funny stories that happened with my mom, Laddie. They had just loaded the pontoon up with dinner and were headed out to the middle of the lake to eat. My mom, decked out in a skirt for the "big occasion" had just handed Alisan the last tray of goods and gave a little push off from the dock as she boarded. But instead of boarding she got stuck with one leg on the boat and one leg on the dock as Alisan watched the doomed decent of my dressed for dinner mother. When Laddie surfaced, and Alisan stopped laughing for a moment to listen…Laddie said to her "I'm gonna slap the slop out of you". And, of course, Alisan laughed even harder. I adored that woman.
