I'll always remember our Christmases at Oma's house in Miami Shores. It was so warm and welcoming, filled to the brim with people but always with room for more. I loved all the stockings on the mantle and how we would sit on the floor watching our toddlers play with their new toys. When Oma finally announced dinner was ready, Opa would give his heartfelt speech about how greatful he was for his family and everyone would try to hold back their tears.
