Zoila "Cuca" Clavero's Obituary
Zoila "Cuca" Clavero Couceyro of Miami, Florida passed away on June 24, 2016 from natural causes. She was 102 years young.Born in Manicaragua, Las Villas, Cuba, Cuca was one of six children of Isabel Aguila and Pastor Couceyro, both from Lugo, Spain. A Cuban exile, Cuca and her husband of more than 50 years, Arturo, moved to Miami in January of 1968. Cuca was the loving matriarch of a large Cuban family. In addition to her own two children, she was a mother and role model for many of her nephews, nieces, and grandchildren. An eternal optimist, and, especially in her later years, comedian, you could not help but smile, laugh, and lose track of time in her presence. Her grace and utterly infectious laugh will live on in all of the lives she touched and nurtured. Cuca is survived by her brother, Arsenio, her two children, Maria Rosa and Cesar, her eight grandchildren, Carlos Arturo, Elizabeth, Veronica, Alexander, Angel David, Andres, Anthony and Eunice, and five great grand children, Carlos, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Ethan, and Charlotte, all of whom brought great joy and pride to her later years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation in her name. More details can be found at the link below.
