Yvonne Prothero Harrison's Obituary
HARRISON
Yvonne (Bonnie) Prothero passed away peacefully May 1st , born October 3, 1919 in Lead, SD. She moved to South Florida in 1925. Bonnie graduated from Redlands High School in 1935 and attended the University of Miami. After college, she went to work for Pan American World Airways as secretary where she met her future husband, Douglas Harrison. They were married January 31, 1942. Bonnie and Doug were very active members of the Coral Gables Country Club with Doug as the Captain of the Fleet and Bonnie as an accomplished tennis player. After Doug’s death in 1973, Bonnie enjoyed competitive ballroom dancing and hand-crafting many beautiful dresses and costumes. She is survived by two children, Randall Douglas Harrison (nee Kathy Durham) and Diane Harrison Blake, brother Richard Prothero, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a niece and two nephews. Funeral Service 1:00 pm Wednesday at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES CHAPEL.
