SMITH
William A. of Miami, FL passed away September 1st, 2010 at Coral Gables Hospital of natural causes. William Smith was born September 19, 1912 in Connecticut and died aged 97. He served honorably in World War II, receiving the Purple Heart and five bronze stars for his service. He moved to Miami in 1950 and lived in the same home for 60 years. William Smith was a deacon at Tamiami Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife Millie in 2002 and is survived by his daughter, Bernadette McCaffree of Illinois and his son William A. Smith, Jr. of Clewiston, FL, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held 2 – 4 pm Monday, September 6th and a Funeral Service 10 am Tuesday, September 7th at
