WILLIAM PATRICK OWENS's Obituary
OWENS, WILLIAM PATRICK ("BILL") began his eternal life in his Miami Shores home on June 13, 2017 and is now reunited with his wife Louise Nann Owens. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 19, 1928. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. William graduated from St. John's University in New York City in 1956. He moved to Miami in 1963 and shortly after met his wife Louise, whom he referred to as his soulmate. William became a CPA and eventually opened his own practice which operated for over 37 years.
William was the son of Irish immigrants, William and Margaret Owens who came to New York in the late 1920s. He had four siblings, Kathleen, Mary, John and Margaret. William is survived by his two daughters Anna-Louise Mucci (Thomas Anthony) and Jane Sambolt (Thomas) and three grandchildren, Lauren, Julia and Tia Sambolt and many nieces and nephews. The family requests that any donations in his memory be made to: Josephite Fathers and Brothers, 911 W. Lake Ave., Baltimore, MD 21210. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Van Orsdel Funeral Chapel, 3333 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. On Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2:00 pm a mass will be celebrated for the eternal rest of his soul at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 415 NE 105th Street, Miami, FL 33138. Private burial services. Bill will be forever loved and remembered by all those who knew him.
