William Abraham Nojaim's Obituary
Bill passed away peacefully, in his home, on Friday, August 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was the son of Ibrahim Nojaim and Linda Joseph Nojaim. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York on January 22nd, 1938.
Bill had no siblings but had many friends growing up and his closest cousins were Leo Nojaim and Pat and Michael Murphy. Those who knew Bill in New York knew of his passion for cars and racing. He was a NASCAR National Record holder for Drag Racing. Bill loved just about every sport from tennis to boxing. But his real love was baseball and his favorite team was the New York Yankees. Bill also pitched softball for years in Florida, but his favorite year was when he was able to pitch softball on the same team as all four of his sons. What a special time for both dad and sons.
Bill met and married his wife of 46 years, Rosemary in September of 1970. In December of 1972 they moved to Miami, Florida. Bill became Service Director for then Anthony Abraham Chevrolet. Bill also was Service Director for Potamkin Chevrolet and Maroone Chevrolet for many years to come. Bill touched the lives of many people, always for the better. Anyone who worked with Bill always said he was the best boss they had ever had. He had integrity and was always firm but fair. Everyone loved him.
Bill lived his life with tremendous pride in his family and true loyalty to his friends. Bill is survived by his wife Rosemary, sons, William (Helen) of Pembroke Pines, FL., Bren (Natalie) of Scottsdale, AZ., Brad (Sandy) of South Miami, FL. and Paul (Talita) of Miami, FL., five beautiful grandchildren, Charlotte, Kathryn, Daughtry, Ethan and Clara.
There is a void in our hearts and we will forever miss him and his kind and gentle ways .There are many happy memories that we will cherish always.
Our family is overwhelmed by the outpour of love from everyone who has reached out to us in many ways. We have felt your prayers and loving thoughts and are eternally grateful to all. Bill was larger than life and we wish to honor him by inviting and welcoming all to celebrate with us. We will always cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life service for Bill will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00pm at Coral Gables Congregational Church, 3010 De Soto Blvd. Coral Gables FL. 33134. Immediately following the service a reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall.
