William Beverly Nickerson's Obituary
William Beverly Nickerson, born on August 12, 1940, in Clarks Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2026, at the age of 85.
After his early years in Clarks Harbour, William settled in Miami, Florida where he met and married the love of his life, Anita Ruiz Nickerson on May 1, 1965.
William spent his working years as a boat captain, a profession that reflected his strength, skill, and deep connection to the water. Beyond his work, he found great joy in coaching and watching his sons on the baseball diamond. William managed to smile and maintain his faith through various illnesses that established his resolution to persevere.
He was predeceased by his parents, Dewey and Genevieve, and his siblings, Ralph, Orville, Lillian, Estelle, and Stanley.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Anita; his sons, Billy and Eric; his daughters-in-law, Lisa and Melissa; his grandchildren, Chris, Matthew, Vivian, Zachary, Cade, and Blaze; his granddaughter-in-law, Camila; and his great-grandson, Cash, all of whom will carry his legacy forward.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Branches United Methodist Church, located at 129 SW 5th Ave, Florida City, Florida 33034.
