God Bless you all,
Jo....I was so very saddened to learn of Bill’s passing. You and your whole family are in our thoughts and prayers.
I always respected Bill and enjoyed working and occasionally playing with him. As you so well know, he was never without a smile or a complement. Incredibly proud of his family and those who worked for and with him. Though I had not seen Bill since 1998, I always knew if I was in Miami and ran into him it would be like two guys who met in Vietnam where we both served in the 60’s. The hug and laughs would be instantaneous as the intervening years melted away.
One of my greatest times was about 25 years ago when I spent a few days with Bill in his favorite non-family environment. Bill, Ned Crocker, Roger Rosenberger, Jeff Allen, Jim Tillett and I sailed overnight on some choppy water to Bimini (🤢), spent 2-3 amazing days at Cat Key, and sailed back at night on an incredibly beautiful, mind blowing star filled night on smooth plankton shimmering seas. Memories for a lifetime.
As Mariners wish each other...”Fair Winds and Following Seas for Eternity, my friend.”
Peace and Love to you and your family, Jo.
