William Jeptha Duke, 97 of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023. William was born on December 27, 1925 in Winter Haven, Florida to Annie Mae and Jeptha Ivey Duke. He served in the Army Air Corp during the Read Obituary
Mr. Duke was my sweet neighbor (over 15 years), wise mentor, and loyal friend. I enjoyed hearing stories of his early life and it didn't take long to be around him to know he was a Christian and loved our Lord.
One time I had baked some brownies and called him to see if he would like some and he told me he didn't care much for chocolate, so I asked do you like "peach cobbler & vanilla ice cream?" He promptly replied "NOW your talking!" lol
I have so many fond memories as he was a joy to be around and I'll definitely miss him being a part of my everyday life.
