Vincent Peter LoMonaco's Obituary
Vincent Peter LoMonaco, age 80, of Coral Gables, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. He was born August 5, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. Raised in Waukegan, Illinois, he was a graduate of Waukegan High School and obtained a B.S. in Industrial Management from the University of Illinois. Vince served in the army as a First Lieutenant. He began his business career as an industrial engineer and later as an executive in the burgeoning semiconductor industry. Fondly known as "Papa", he filled 80 years of life with family, friends, food, fishing, football, films and card games. He loved life, was tenacious in all he did and was a friend to everyone. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth; his children, Margaret Groves and her husband Graham and Ann Neal and her husband Chuck; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Vilma Seveska of Waukegan, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Jo; and by his brothers Frank and William LoMonaco. Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM-12:30 PM at VAN ORSDEL CORAL GABLES at 4600 S.W. 8th Street. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 PM at the Church of the Little Flower, 2711 Indian Mound Trail. Coral Gables.
