Vicky Pando Tome's Obituary
Today we gather with heavy hearts, but also with deep gratitude, to honor the life of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Vicky Pando Tome.
Vicky passed peacefully on March 21st, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by the people she loved most - her daughter Annie, her son Luis, her cherished grandchildren Michael and Emma, and her sister Susana. She left this world the same way she lived in it: embraced by love.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Vicky came to Miami as a young teenager, carrying with her strength, resilience, and a spirit that would go on to shape generations. She was the heart of our family — the matriarch who held us together, guided us, and filled our lives with warmth and meaning.
She was truly full of life. Her laughter, her energy, and her joyful spirit could light up any room. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, loved, and seen. Her love wasn’t quiet — it was vibrant, passionate, and constant.
Above all, Vicky loved her family. She found her greatest happiness in simply being together — whether it meant long meals at DiPapas or Rusty Pelican, enjoying a day at the Sonesta in Key Biscayne, or most of all, in the small moments shared by her grandchildren visiting her. These moments, simple as they may seem, were everything to her, and now they are everything to us.
Vicky loved to travel the world, as we reflect on those memories in her photos of Japan, France, Canada, Spain, and all over the world.
She was admired by so many friends, but most deeply by her children and grandchildren, who saw in her a model of strength, love, and unwavering devotion. She taught us how to live fully, how to love deeply, and how to find joy in the everyday.
Though we will miss her more than words can express, we carry her with us — in our memories, in our traditions, and in the love, she gave so freely. That love does not end. It lives on in all of us.
Today, we say goodbye to her physical presence, but never to her spirit. We trust that she is now at peace, watching over us as our guardian angel, guiding us with the same love she gave in life.
Vicky is survived by her children Annie and Luis, her grandchildren Michael and Emma, and her siblings Luis Manuel, Emma Susana, and Beatriz Sofia, and her nieces and nephews, Andre, Gabriel, Sofia, Alexandra and Alicia.
Mom, thank you for everything. Your love is our foundation, your memory, our comfort, and your spirit, our strength.
May you rest in peace, now and forever.
Amen.
Annie Tome, daughter of Vicky Pando Tome, March 22, 2026, Miami, Florida, USA
