Verline Young's Obituary
Answer me, O LORD, out of the goodness of
Your love; in Your great mercy turn to me.
PSALM 69:16 NIV
This is the beginning of a new day. GOD has given us this day to use as we will. You can waste it or use it for good. I have exchanged a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving something I traded for it. I shall never regret the price I paid worshipping where the Word of God was preached; being educated at Dade County, Florida Public Schools in South Miami, Opa-Locka, and Overtown; employed as a Hialeah factory worker and later leisurely self employed. Experienced the joys of traveling, cooking and eating delicious foods, shopping, hosting banquets, nurturing and growing lovely plants.
A loving daughter Angela, and sons Eric, James and Corey, and one grandbaby James Jr., the Lord knows…the pain you feel, the grief you carry, the tears you cry, the memories you’ll cherish, the comfort you’ll need, and the strength you’ll require. If anyone knows the pain that comes from losing someone you love, GOD does. Mother, Susie Goodwin, and father, Robert Young (Gladys Young); God mother, Mrs. Stewart; my son, David and sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Shirley, Diane, and Linda have all proceeded me in death.
Eric, make us proud of your accomplishments! Family, friends, and neighbors, encourage each other and build each other up as you think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Thanking God for brothers: Henry Williams, Eddie Dailey, Robert Young, and David Williams; and sisters: Daisy Dailey Wardlaw, Essie Mae Dailey, and Leola Williams; in-laws: Ruby, Henry, Elaine, and Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and loved ones.
God is here.
