Valentina Izquierdo's Obituary
IZQUIERDO
Valentina Izquierdo born in Puerto Padre in the province of Oriente, Cuba on January 15, 1914, passed away peacfully December 23, 2009 at the age of 95, just weeks shy of her 96th birthday. Valentina was predeceased by her husband Rafael, sisters Elena, Maria, and brothers Flor Angel (luz Marina) and Angelito, brother's in law Gerardo, Eduardo sister in law Clara Palau. She leaves behind a son Elbert, wife Susan, Grandson George and Great Grandson Ryan, sisters in law Clara Izquierdo and Mercedes Lopez, Marbellea Verdecia and too many nieces and nephews to name individually. Valentina and Rafael owned and operated many businesses in Miami and New York. Together they were responsible for assisting many family members and friends to come to this country at their own risk. Once here they provided shelter and assistance to all in need. She will be loved and missed by all, may she rest in peace. Visitation 4 – 9:30 pm with a prayer service 6 pm Sunday. Funeral Service 10:30 am Monday with procession leaving at 11 am to Woodlawn Park North Cemetery.
