Thomas Joseph, age 69, passed away on May 1, 2013.
Tom was a resident of Coconut Grove, FL for 8 years alongside his beloved wife, Jennifer Holloway
McHugh. Prior to moving to Coconut Grove, Tom and Jennifer lived in Fairfield, CT for 22 years. Tom was originally from Town of Rye, NY where he graduated Archbishop Stepinac High School in 1962. In 1966, Tom graduated from the University of Tennessee after having been goalie for the school’s soccer team and having spent 4 years in the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Immediately upon graduation, Tom enlisted in Officer Candidate School of the US Army and served his country as a Lieutenant for 3 years. His primary post was on the DMZ in South Korea during the Vietnam War. Tom was an avid golfer, sailor and skier. He loved travel, great food, music and above all, a good time with his family and friends. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer H. McHugh and children, Michael H. McHugh and Elizabeth A. McHugh, as well as brother-in-law, Dean L. Holloway. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to www.woundedwarriorproject.org. A service will be held at 4 pm on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 at Church of the Epiphany 8235 SW 57th Ave. Miami, FL.
