Thomas Edward Ivines' Obituary
Thomas Edward Ivines passed away at the age of 58 at his home in Miami, Florida.
Tom was born in Miami, Florida on September21, 1965. He moved to Trenton, Florida when he was ten years old and graduated from Trenton High School.  He returned to Miami and studied midi music and analog sound studio at Miami Dade College. He later became a certified UAS Pilot and Instructor and was a DJI technician. He began working at Power Mower Sales in 1994 and immediately became part of their extended family.
From a young age, he enjoyed working with electronics, engines, motors and computers. His vehicles, mowers, scooters and drones were his prized possessions. He hosted the website drxmedia, was an administrator of several drone FB groups, and was nicknamed the Drone Master. He enjoyed flying his many drones all over Miami and sharing the breathtaking pictures he captured. Tom was an animal lover and was preceded in death by his beloved dogs Wookie and Zeus.
Mr. Ivines is survived by his father Thomas W. Ivines, his stepmother, Gloria Ivines, three brothers, Ryan Ivines, Keith Ivines and Juddson Ivines, an aunt, Charlene Bielling, two uncles, JD Ivines and Don Anderson, a nephew, Eden Ivines, two great aunts Patricia Goolsby and Barbara Tankersley, his longtime friend Chuck Long, and his family at Power Mower Sales. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Ivines.
A celebration of life will be held for Tom on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Van Orsdel Funeral Home, 11220 N Kendall Drive, Miami, Florida 33176. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:30 with a memorial service at 2:30. His family encourages everyone to dress casually.
