Theodore Harry Gregor's Obituary
GREGOR, THEODORE " Ted" H., 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2012 after a brief illness. Ted was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. Son of the late Jerry and Page Gregor. He was a loving father to his two sons Gerasimos (Gerry) Gregor and Christopher-George Gregor, and was preceded in death by his wife Alkmini Gregor. He is survived by his fiancé Diana Tsifopoulos Honey and her two children, Charles and Christina. He attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. Ted was the owner of Aero Kool Corporation, an FAA 145/ ISO aircraft component repair and overhaul facility in Hialeah Florida. The company was founded by his father, Jerry T. Gregor, in 1959. Ted grew up with the company and rose to the top position of President /CEO in 1997 after the passing of his late father. Aviation was Ted's passion. A dynamic individual involved in many activities during his career including, serving as both a Director and President of the Miami Maintenance Management Council (MMMC), being a Director of the Greater Miami Aviation Association (GMAA). Additionally, he served as a Board of Director member of several private organizations including the Beacon Council's Aviation Task Force for South Florida. He was honored in 2001 as the recipient of the GMAA Eddie Rickenbacker Award for his contribution to the aviation industry in South Florida. Ted Gregor also served as VP of the Board of Directors for Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Miami. Ted will be truly missed by his sons, his fiancé, her children, many cousins, his friends, the Greek community, the aviation industry, and especially by all the employees, families and friends of Aero Kool Corporation. The visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28th between 7-10 PM with the Trisagion Service to begin at 8:00pm at the Van Orsdel Coral Gables Chapel in Coral Gables (4600 SW 8th St) Coral Gables 33134.
