SUZANNE S MILLER's Obituary
Suzanne (Sue) S. Miller, 96, passed away on October 27, 2017 in Coconut Grove, FL. She was born in Utica, NY on December 18, 1920, the daughter of William and Margaret (Cantwell) Sturgis.
Sue was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She married John Norris Miller on June 1, 1940. He preceded her in death in 2011. They were the proud parents of five children, John Norris Miller, Jr. of Asheville, NC, William S. Miller (deceased), Edward M. (Janet) Miller of Charlottesville, VA, Aleta M. (Thomas) Pratt of Coconut Grove, FL and Robert G. (Karen) Miller of Elmhurst, IL. She was also the beloved granny of eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Sue was very active in volunteer activities including the Junior League, Red Cross, the local retirement community and Catholic charities. She also enjoyed traveling and hiking in New Hampshire. In her youth, was an accomplished competitive diver. At the age of 78, she performed her final half pike off the second-floor balcony in Spain.
Sue’s life will be celebrated at St. Denis Catholic Church in Hanover, NH on Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. followed by internment next to her husband at Pine Knoll Cemetery, also in Hanover.
