On behalf of the Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund Board of Directors, we would all like to take this moment to share a message of gratitude, grace, and support -- We are incredibly sorry to hear about the passing of Captain Blackburn and would like to share our condolences with his surviving family, friends, and colleagues.
We are incredibly grateful to Captain Blackburn for his dedication to serving his community, his leadership and example of diligence throughout his career and life, and his support of Captain Jason Dahl's legacy, especially as we approach the 24th anniversary of the September 11th tragedy. May Captain Blackburn's life be celebrated, and his memories be cherished, in perpetuity.
