STEVE J POULOS's Obituary
[Poulos, Steve J.], [66], fell asleep and went to the Lord on Thursday, September 5th. He is survived by his wife, Dorane, his two daughters, Alexandra and Elizabeth, his brothers, Nick (Nancy), Chris (Janet), his sister Angela (Manoli - deceased), cousin Jimmy T. Poulos; predeceased by his brother James (Ana), several nieces and nephews, and several grand- nieces and nephews.
Steve will always be remembered as an entrepreneur of many trades. Since the age of fourteen, he was one of the brothers who owned and operated restaurant businesses on Biscayne Blvd, Brickell Ave, South Bayshore Drive, and lastly a partner of Lots of Lox Deli in Palmetto Bay.
Steve was a loving, compassionate husband and father with a heart of gold, kind, good natured, and generous. Recognized as an avid animal lover, including taking in and caring for many rescue dogs and cats. Loved by family, friends, extended family and patrons at Lots of Lox, and the community, he will truly be missed.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Tuesday, September 10th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “St. Sophia Building Fund” (244 SW 24th Rd. Miami, FL 33129).
