Sherrill (Sherry) Diane Lamb's Obituary
Sherrill (Sherry) Diane Lamb, a resident of Miami, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, following a valiant battle with a prolonged illness. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 20, 1942. Sherry attended North Miami High School, graduating in 1960, and furthered her education at Miami-Dade Community College before graduating from Biscayne College (St. Thomas University).
Sherry was married to Fred Lamb for 40 years and is survived by her devoted husband, her son from a previous marriage with Thomas Dunn, Scott (Cynthia), brothers John and Michael, grandchildren Brian (Megan), Roberto, Jessica (Pierre), and great-grandchildren Brianna, Tatianna, Mia, River, and Julie. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Sean, as well as her parents, Robert MacLennan and Virginia Kluge.
Throughout her life, Sherry cherished enduring friendships, maintaining connections with high school friends for over 69 years. Notably, she was the pioneering first employee of Hospice in the United States during the 1980s. As her health declined, her family ensured her comfort by entrusting her care to hospice.
Sherry spent her final days at the Palace Kendall, where she quickly formed friendships and endeared herself to many staff members who treated her with utmost dignity and warmth. The family expresses deep gratitude for the exceptional care and love Sherry received.
Sherry's radiant smile will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 2-5 PM at Van Orsdell on Kendall Drive.
