SHEILA M. VAUGHAN's Obituary
Vaughan, Sheila Margret born 03/03/03. Married to John (Jack) Ivel Vaugan in 1959. Sheila met John while he was stationed in England. Longtime resident of Coral Gables and before that, Green Hills. Longtime employee of the University of Miami. Preceded in death by John(2012), she is survived by son Ray, nieces Karen Brockwell and Trish Spain and lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Ann Vaughan.
Sheila and Ann were childhood friends in England who both moved to America as young brides of American servicemen, “I will treasure my many years of fond memories and will miss my dear friend and our weekly phone calls.”
Karen “My Aunt Sheila was a generous and kind person who welcomed us into her home many times throughout my childhood and as an adult with a family of my own, she will be missed.
Trish: “I can only sum up many thoughts as she was the epitome of a English lady: gentle, calm, kind, reflective with the most sparkling blue eyes and porcelain skin. She dedicated her life to Ray and Jack her entire life and would have chosen no other path. And she would always smile in appreciation when I told her how much I admired her flawless handwriting.“
A graveside service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery (11411 NW 25 St, Doral, Fl.) on Monday May 5, at 1:00 PM.
