SHARON KAY TERLAAK's Obituary
Terlaak, Sharon Kay. March 3, 1949. Passed away July 19, 2014 at Aventura Hospital, in Aventura, Florida. Sharon is survived by her son Michael, sisters Joanne (Jerry) Gill, (Michigan), Patricia Terlaak, (Michigan), Deborah Sikora, (Michigan), and brother Richard (Patricia) Terlaak, (Michigan). Predeceaseding her was one sister, Dianne (Doug) Cole of Windsor, Ontario. Beloved daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine Terlaak, (Michigan). Sharon also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Sharon spent the first 25 years of her life living in Michigan with her family, then ventured out to Southern California, where she prospered and lived happily for the next 20 years, before moving to South Florida, where she lived contentedly, on the ocean for the past 20 years. She loved life and made the best of it.
Sharon battled kidney disease for most of her life. She overcame the odds and was a kidney dialysis survivor for over 20 years. Strong in will and spirit, she fought to hang onto life well beyond medical expectations...a testimony to her tenacity and determination. She was courageous and strong...never giving in or giving up. She was an outstanding example to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed .
