SCOTT MICHAEL STEPHENS's Obituary
Scott Michael Stephens, 62, of Miami, FL, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2020.
He was born in Miami, FL on April 12, 1958. His childhood fascination with construction vehicles and how things worked grew into his lifelong career and passion. He owned and worked as a mechanic at Hydraulic Maintenance, Inc. where he built and maintained heavy duty machinery and equipment, specializing in electrical hydraulics. In later years, he contributed to the family business by helping with the property management of commercial real estate.
He longed for the simple life and was happiest around his family. He enjoyed working in his beautiful yard, driving his huge trucks around town, and watching old Westerns. He was a true city cowboy who found enjoyment and adventure in riding bulls and taking his airboat out in the Everglades.
He was a spiritual man who lived as God’s faithful servant. He was a wonderful son, loving father, silly Pawpaw, loyal brother, and reliable friend. He will be remembered for his unfailing work ethic, his unconditional willingness to help his family and neighbors in need, and his knowledge about and ability to fix just about anything.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his mother, Diane Stephens; daughter, Robin Sagastume; son-in-law, Cesar Sagastume; grandson, Noah; and sisters, Karen Rodgers and Jill Stephens. He was preceded in death by his father, J.M. Stephens.
A private memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August, 12, 2020.
