Sandra T. Schwieger's Obituary
Sandra Townsend Schwieger of Miami, Florida, completed her earthly journey on Friday, September 22, 2023. She entered into the welcoming arms of Jesus early Friday morning surrounded by her family and caregivers. She was born on July 6th, 1941. She was the only child of Elmo M. Townsend and Lucille Bevis Townsend. She graduated from Coral Gables Senior High in 1959. She attended Stetson University and then married Gordon L. Schwieger on July 8th, 1961 at Shenandoah Presbyterian Church. She was married to Gordon for 60 years until he passed on 11/5/2021. She leaves behind a daughter, Vicki Schwieger Denny, a son, Dale Allen Schwieger (Noga Schwieger, Danny, and Isabella), and a grandson Alan Austin Schwieger. Sandra worked as an administrative assistant for her husband Gordon, in his CPA firm for many years. Sandra was an avid gardener who created a registered butterfly habitat at her South Florida home. She loved being a mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her love of God, family, gardening, kitties, decorating, homemaking, and creating wonderful Facebook stories from her Morning Walkabouts in her garden.
