Ruth (Ruthe) Finn Howard's Obituary
HOWARD, RUTHE of Miami, FL, passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Nursing Center in the Catholic Hospice Unit on Sunday, April 21 2019. Ruthe was born in Boston, MA. After moving to Miami, she began with the Building and Zoning Department, and later moved on to the City of Miami Police Department's Homicide Division, where she answered the phone as "Homicide Ruthe". Ruthe finished her career with the Miami Convention Center.
She was a current member of the Coral Gables Music Club and University of Miami Women's Guild. She was also a former member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), Daughters of Isabella, and the Pinecrest Garden Club. Ruthe has been living at East Ridge Retirement Village since 2016. Everyone knew her there because she walked with her walker all over the Village; in other words, keeping active. She will be greatly missed by long time friends and the East Ridge friends. Ruthe has actively donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for a long time.
