Russell Abraham Sabbag's Obituary
Russell Sabbag was born on June 15, 1927 in Boston, MA and passed away on August 31, 2019 in Miami, FL. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of over 66 years, sister, Marion Haddad, daughter, Dianne (Nick ✝) Saab, son Russell (Rhonni); grandchildren Amanda, Nicholas, Russell, Gregory, Alexandra, Michael and Elizabeth; as well as great-grandson Adrian.
Russell served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and had a long career in the food industry. He was a founding member of St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church, serving in various roles in the Parish Council for many years. He also served in the Patriarchal Order of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem.
Russell loved all sports, especially baseball and football. Evelyn would often say “if it had a ball he would watch it”.
Russell had the belief that a man should be measured by the inner qualities of the person and was a “man’s man”. Russell was a devoted family man, always dedicated to his family and relatives. He never said no to anyone asking for his assistance and was beloved by anyone who came to know him. He had an infectious, fun-loving spirit that will be remembered and missed.
We love you and will miss you!
