RUBY MAVIS CAMPBELL's Obituary
Ruby Mavis Campbell was born in Portland, Jamaica West Indies, to the late William McKay and his wife Edith McKay.
When she graduated high school, she went to St. Joseph's Teacher's College where she got her diploma and then went on to teach at St. Francis Prep School. After many years there, she left for the United States to work in the medical field at Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, New York.
During that time she brought her family to the United States enabling them to obtain a better standard of life. She was the driving force for her children Douglas and Peter Campbell to have successful careers in their lives. Her life was dedicated to her family, church and helping people when possible. Her hobbies were floral arrangements and craft work.
She is survived by sons Douglas and Peter Campbell, their wives Youlander and Didi, brother, Horace McKay, grandchildren Douglas Jr. and wife Simone, Gregory, Tiffany and husband John, Jordan and Benjamin, great grandchildren Gregory Jr., Douglas III and Giselle; nieces Shirley and Norma Tavares, Claire Bertram and husband Arnold Bertram, Dahlia Ricketts and other relatives and friends.
