Roy Franklin Woodruff's Obituary
WOODRUFF ROY F. 86, PASSED AWAY ON JANUARY 10, 2012. A resident of the Miami area since 1948. He was born in Sycamore, Ga. A businessman for 62 years as an Accountant and Tax Preparer, most recently in the Coral Gables area. Mr. Woodruff was in the Navy during World War II. He has been involved in numerous clubs and charitable organizations. He was a longtime member and supporter of the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables.
Mr. Woodruff is survived by his Faithful Companion, Cathy Blanton, 4 daughters, Kay(Jerry) McCaw of Ring Gold, Ga., Candice Beckham of Vero Beach, Fl., Cheryl Honkonen, Salt Lake City, Ut, and Tracy Honkonen of Miami, Fl. 4 Grandchildren-Michael (Wendy)McCaw, Will, Woody and Emily Beckham. 2 Great grandchildren, Lucas and Jackson McCaw.
Donations in his memory can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday January 15th in the Chapel at the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables. He will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him!
