ROSALIE M LEWIS's Obituary
Rosalie Moretti Lewis was born on May 15, 1926 in Peekskill, New York and died on December 17, 2017 in Miami. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lena Bremner Moretti. She is survived by many cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
When Rosalie’s parents moved to Miami she attended Miami High and graduated in 1944. She was married to William H. Lewis from 1946 until 1977. Although she had no children of her own she was sympathetic to the needs of children, especially those with cancer. For that
reason she was a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Before marriage she was employed at Burdine’s. Later, she went to work for Southern Bell, and after 25 years of service she retired, reaching the level of Assistant Manager. After retiring she enjoyed traveling to
many countries. She loved to dance and participated in this activity for as long as she was able. The family would like to thank Sandra Romero for her loving care of Rosalie during her illness and incapacitation.
A memorial service will be held on December 27th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the mausoleum at Woodlawn North, 3260 SW 8th Street in Miami.
