Rosa Couce's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce that Rosa Couce, 87, born on August 30th, 1934 in Holguin, Cuba, passed away after a courageous and valiant fight against cancer on May 18th, 2022.
After studying accounting in Cuba, she and her husband, Jesus, came to the United States for a better life in 1961. She was a devoted Christian and dedicated to her family having always cherished every moment with them.
Her zest for life was contagious, her smile radiant and her heart full of love.
Having spent 71 years with the love of her life, they traveled, built a beautiful family, and enjoyed each day side by side.
Rosa is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jesus Couce; three beautiful daughters Luisa (Manuel) Machin, Lourdes (Orlando) Padron, and Rosemary (Osvaldo) Cortes; and her nephew Samuel Fornaris. She is the adored grandmother of six amazing grandchildren: Ozzy Cortes, Cassie Cortes, Alexandra Machin, Michael Machin, Daniel Padron and David Padron.
A beloved grandmother, mother, wife, and friend to all whose lives she touched; she will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Rosa’s beautiful soul leaves behind a trail of beautiful memories. A celebration of her life will be at Van Orsdel Funeral & Cremation Services, 11220 N Kendall Dr, Miami on Monday, May 23rd, 2022.
