Rory Bruce Lowe's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rory Bruce Lowe, age 41, a devoted father, loving husband, cherished son and brother. He passed away on March 8th after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. Rory was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Marissa, and a proud and loving father to his two girls, Gwenyth Maeve and Philippa James, who brought him endless joy and pride. His unwavering love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life.
A graduate of Providence College and The Johnson School of Finance at Cornell University, Rory cultivated the knowledge and skills that would shape his remarkable career as an international finance and operations executive in the Real Estate, Lodging & Hospitality sectors. With extensive leadership experience across multiple countries and brands, he was particularly known for his expertise in the Luxury and Lifestyle segments. His insight, leadership, and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues worldwide.
In addition to his professional achievements, Rory was a passionate musician and founding member of the Rory Lowe Band, where he poured his heart and soul into writing and performing his music. He also found joy in skiing and playing guitar — two passions that reflected his adventurous spirit and creativity. Whether carving down snowy slopes or strumming his favorite songs, Rory embraced life with energy and enthusiasm.
Rory will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but also for his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. Whether through his infectious laugh, his sharp sense of humor, his thoughtful nature, or his dedication to his loved ones and his art, Rory touched the hearts of many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marissa and cherished daughters, Gwenyth and Philippa of Coral Gables; his parents, Roderick and Paula Lowe of Ocean View, DE; his sister, Meredith Bolton, her husband Robert and their daughter, Bronwyn of Severna Park, MD; his father and mother-in-law Dominick and Linda Caccippio of Lakewood Ranch, FL; as well as, a wide circle of friends and extended family across the globe who will deeply miss him.
His presence will be profoundly felt, but his legacy of love, music, and strength will live on in those who knew and cherished him.
A celebration of Rory's life will be held at Van Orsdel Funeral Home in Coral Gables on Thursday, March 13th from 2-6 pm and followed by a 9 am Mass the next morning at Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made for the benefit of Gwen and Pippa.
